Alaska’s energy needs are intensive. Alaska ranks third on a per-capita basis in energy use, yet extremely high costs in rural Alaska require public subsidies (such as the Power Cost Equalization program) to bring consumer costs down to manageable levels. Reducing the cost of energy will increase community financial sustainability, particularly for the remote, rural, and often majority Alaska Native villages, which face the highest cost burdens.

• Strategically network by soliciting and enlisting the support of key stakeholders in Alaska.

• Prospect, build a customer pipeline, and move opportunities through the sales cycle

• Propose, present, and discuss projects with Senior Level Management and other decision makers.

• Carefully and deliberately anticipate risks and vulnerabilities while capitalizing on opportunities to pursue.

• Prepare funding proposals and detailed grant submissions.

• Attend and participate in industry events and conferences.

• Bring projects to ready-to-build level through supporting difference project phases from initiating to licensing to grid connection approval.

• Obtain Power Purchase Agreements.

• Secure Joint Venture Partnerships and other strategic partnership, and

• Navigate Alaska from someone who knows the landscape, politics and has a wide network in Alaska.
